How To Tune

To tune a kalimba is to actually adjust tines so they have the exact sound they are supposed to, according to which note a tine is designated to play.

You can use a real tuner or download the app gStrings for android devices and, Instuner for apple devices.

    It looks as beautiful as it sounds. The only negative thing I can think of is there are not music "books" to learn to play familiar songs like The Farmer In The Dell, Jingle Bells. If only there were books available in English with songs that everyone is familiar with. I bought 2 for my grandsons and though they can read, they don't know where to begin...nor do I. It could be fun for all, IF ONLY.
